Is (MLM)Multi Level Marketing a Scam?
This is probably one of the biggest controversial industries online and that’s the mlm business.
I have talked to hundreds of people and have seen a pattern in the way people do mlm marketing, get mlm leads, do mlm training, get into mlm companies, mlm home based businesses, mlm opportunities, use mlm software online, get caught up in mlm compensation plans, how people recruit prospects in their mlm downline and the list goes on!
So what I want to share in this (mlm) multi level marketing video is:
* What is MLM?
Multi-level marketing (MLM), also known as Network Marketing, is a business-distribution model that allows a parent company to market its products directly to consumers by means of relationship referrals and direct selling.
Independent, unsalaried salespeople of multi-level marketing, referred to as distributors (or ociates, independent business owners, dealers, franchise owners, sales consultants, consultants, independent agents, etc.), represent the parent company and are awarded a commission based upon the volume of product sold through each of their independent businesses (organizations).
* Pros and Cons of Joining MLM
MLM PROS Possible Reasons that MLM Could Be a Great Business For You!
1. Usually start-up costs are low.
2. Many of the highest-quality products are manufactured by MLM companies.
3. You can work it part time if you choose, which allows you to work a job fulltime and work your MLM business in your spare time.
4. You can work from your home.
5. Your business expenses will be deductible from your income tax.
6. You will be your own boss.
7. You choose which hours you want to work.
8. You may develop a small extra income or possibly even a very large income, allowing you to quit your job, or have a great retirement.
9. Your income will be a residual income, which will come to you month-after-month, year-after-year.
10. You will have time freedom.
11. You will meet many like-minded people.
MLM CONS Possible Reasons that MLM Should NOT Be the Business For You!
1. At first you could work very, very hard without making any money!
2. The ease of start-up can cause people to get into several companies, with the mistaken belief that they can easily develop several income streams. This causes a lack of focus and makes the person far more likely to fail.
3. The products could be overpriced and it may be difficult to determine whether they are any better than you could purchase at a discount store.
4. People may look at what is possible to make with MLM instead of what is likely to happen. There are a lot of very inaccurate get-rich quick claims out there. When success doesnt come quickly, a person may be more likely to quit and join something else.
5. It can be very hard to distinguish a legitimate company or opportunity from a scam.
6. Many people do not seem to realize that it takes time and money to build a solid business.
7. Ideally, MLM is based on everyone doing a little bit. In reality, most people dont do their part, making it necessary for the few workers to work much harder to find any amount of success!
8. The failure rate is extremely high.
9. As in any business, to succeed with MLM takes a lot of dedication.
10. Unlike a job where you may punch a clock or have a certain number of hours to work each day, no one is requiring you to do anything with your MLM business. YOU must be the one to decide to work it, or invest your money into advertising. It takes true self-discipline!
11. Your family and friends may not at all understand what you are trying to accomplish. Hopefully, you will get very helpful support from others, but realize that they may not support you at all, no matter how dedicated you are!

MLM can Work! But … MLM can Work! But you have to be able to Make your success off of other peoples failures and be able to live with that vs actually selling to worthless product they usually carry! They focus on recruiting more than selling! It Takes advantage of alot of the dumb people who want to be well paid rich people without doing the footwork! Thus 99% of the time resulting in failure! well said … well said shellers96 and GNoBB. The focus is on recruiting rather than there product and people become desperate to recruit. I had a family friend who everyone now dislikes because of his stupid MLM businsess scheme with USANA. He would ride the 1 hour train trip with you to the city and try to convince you to join.

ive been involved … ive been involved in 2 MLM bizniz, one is food supplements and the other is fashion products.. I first joined in in the wellness industry but after 2 months, i got tired and lost the heart in pursuing coz my advisor left me in the end n i had many rejections than i thought. In my second MLM business wc is in fashion industry, worked well for me even if the world is in crisis.. i have no problem in marketing. I guess it really depends on the type of industry that suits you best.
MLM is a great … MLM is a great system! BUT… if there is no personal developement, then it can be sick.

Great presentation … Great presentation Steve. I've been involved with network marketing since January 21 2008 and been doing it full time since last August 23 and I love it. I totally agree that it's not for everybody. IMHO, the main reason why many people fail is the lack of training and personal development. Fortunately, there are so many great tools out there today to help you with that even if you're sponsor is not that great of a coach. Integrity, education and professionalism are the keys to success.

When the focus is … When the focus is on RECRUITMENT, rather than MOVING PRODUCT, what you have is a pyramid scheme (albeit cleverly hidden behind product). It's pretty straightforward. Of course you can make good money – that's what pyramid schemes are for.

Have been in MLM … Have been in MLM since 1997, has been very good experience. As your video pointed out MLM leverages time very well. What I like about MLM is I can pick "who" I want to work with and ociate. A very small percentage of people make it to the top levels in MLM but, that is true in any group or society. People do not … People do not appreciate being pressured by friends and relatives to buy products. Trying to capitalizing upon personal relationships to build a business can destroy one's social foundation.—Retailing directly to friends on a one-to-one basis requires people to drastically change their buying habits. They must restrict their choices, often pay more for goods, buy inconveniently, and engage in potentially awkward business relationships with close friends and relatives.
tried MLM and even … tried MLM and even internet marketing that looks simular to mlm.
Gotta say "they don't work" waisted my money trying to get hundreds of people to subscribe- not even a signup even my sponsors get poor success.
I'm now trying affiliate marketing on real products affiliating loans and other products; my site still under construction, i'll let you know when i launch it

I believe MLMs are not a scam. It is very difficult to build a business where the bottom row has most of your business volume and they are not making a dime. The next row up is making very little and the total of the 2 rows is over 90% of your business. The bottom row goes, $ drops, key to any MLM is having a unique product. I like the way you handle your business and put yourself out there. I wish you would be more specific of what your product is.

Yes I think is a … Yes I think is a Scam because for you to be a distributor you need to spend your own money to keep your websites… every month that is how they making the business that is how they getting their own customers you spend more of what you getting…!

Good analysis about MLM. For me MLM is 90% of the time a scam. The rest 10% is not, depending upon whether the product is suitable to this distribution model!

Totally great video. The mlm model itself doesn't suck, it's usually the support. Thus, the bad rep. I've been with an unbeleivable company for 4 years and made about $100, but so what, my upline is making $K upon $K for about the same time. they have a different region, more free time. For me, it's not the money that keeps me here. It's people and product.
