There are actually quite a few home business ideas where you can make a ton of money–without having to get involved in mlm.
I look for business ideas that I can place on auto pilot. That is, after the intial work setting up the business, I can walk away from it and still receive income. These kind of businesses are out there.
My wife sells used books on Amazon, and makes a steady income, but her business requires daily work and attention–still, it's not bad. My mother enjoys eBay, but seems to spend every waking moment running around town looking for deals and mailing packages.
